Our clinical virology laboratory is providing some of the crucial epidemiological data on viruses of public health importance such as Coronaviruses, HIV and Hepatitis B Virus.

Rotatrix and PCV13 are two relatively new vaccines introduced into the immunization programme of Ghana. The Department is currently undertaking post-vaccination surveillance related to Rotatrix and PCV13, with funding support from the WHO and Pfizer Pharmaceuticals respectively.
